New and Expanded Saskatchewan Food Processors Association Saskatoon ¿ In recent months changes to the Saskatchewan Food Processors Association (SFPA) have been fermenting below the surface, following Darrell Schneider's (former COO) announcement that he would retire as of June 30th, 2014. 'It is a great time to have the opportunity to return to the SFPA,' remarked Hill, 'the support and interest in value added processing continues to grow in Saskatchewan, generating an increasingly necessary role for the SFPA.' At the AGM a slate of 8 candidates were nominated for Director positions, and all 8 candidates were accepted. In advance of the AGM held June 23rd, a former SFPA Controller was appointed as the incoming Executive Director, Kim Hill, replacing Schneider. Paul Rogers, the current President will finish out his remaining twoyear term during the upcoming year. The candidates were: Heidi Dutton, Parenteau's Gourmet Foods Terry RossThe previous board was thanked for their service, Consultant Colleen Parenteau, POS Group of Companies Alister Muir, Harmon Group of Companies Dale Kelly, Great Western Brewery Shawn Harmon, Northern Vigor Berries Anita Fuller, ADM Canada Betty Forbes, and the new members welcomed.
